I don't see the point. What would make that worth an exhaustive study? That one country has a longer or shorter life expectancy than another is good only for a moment of national pride or for answering questions on Jeopardy, seems to me.

Your above statement satisfies at least two of the three statements above.

How am I to assume it is not rhetorical? (BTW that is a rhetorical question.)
