>Islam, as a religion, and radical Islam in particular, must be blamed for EVERYTHING in the ME.

Bullshit. We fought several wars for resources and territory in Latin America and Southeast Asia in the last century, and there were no Muslims there.

If the oil was in India, we'd hate Hindus, and they'd hate us.

Your son is fighting to establish the Islamic Republic of Iraq.

None of what has happened in the ME in the last century would hve if there was no Islam. Pal.

I am no fan of religion...the history of christianity is not exactly a peaceful one either...the distinguishing characteristic there in modern history is OIL. The british invaded because of OIL. We rescued Kuwait because of OIL. We prop up the saudi family because of OIL. etc... We even defend Israel to a large extent because it is our outpost in the OIL rich region.

slam, as a religion, and radical Islam in particular, must be blamed for EVERYTHING in the ME. If you want to blame "something" on oil, fine. But the remark as a serious one is ridiculous.

Let me rephrase...religion and OIL. It's just a question of when in time you look.

It is funny how you guys transition from one issue to another at will. When it suits your purpose, it is all about Israel and the Palestinians. Then, when you choose to, you can make it about oil.

If our involvement in the ME is not about oil or Israel, then what's it about?
