You better know I smile every time I fill that 26 gallon tank. I don't smile. It might annoy the other motorists filling up who are looking grim. I do tell myself that I have made enough in energy stocks to fill up the damn car with $10 gas for the next 100 years. I tell my friends to stop whining about gas prices and hedge against even higher prices in the future by buying energy stocks. They don't hear that and then start grousing about BIG OIL. It is not surprising that the political candidates are pandering to the widespread belief that people are being gouged by evil oil companies. Any politician calling for the real medicine of of higher fuel taxes and massive conservation is writing their political death sentence.
