>Huh? Sounds like you want to encourage criminals or those working for cash without paying taxes.>

If I wanted to encourage criminals, I would have said "Free 1 million prisoners" or something to that effect. Illegal immigrants may be breaking a law but are not criminals. Just like every driver in US has broken the driving laws of the land, but is not a criminal.

As for the taxes, even illegals pay through sales and other indirect taxes. They pay their taxes by working for less wages then they deserve otherwise, and everyone benefits from that discount.

The other simple remedy is to grant permanent residency to foreigners who purchase a house in US worth $250,000 without loans.

The other simple remedy is to grant permanent residency to foreigners who pay $250,000 in cash for a house in US worth $100,000.

Why would anybody do that to come to a country that is steaming full ahead towards hyperinflation and socialism ?

There are many nice places around the world where you can buy a decent vacation property for 250K.
