Shit...the country sends his best to die and kill in a totally preventable war and you " have no problem with some criticism of America"...WTF does the country have to do for you to venture a critical comment?

All wars are preventable. America could have stayed out of WWII had we decided not to defend ourselves.

The war in Iraq, in my view, was of strategic importance in defending ourselves. The situation is not as simple as, "if they didn't attack us directly, we should not be engaged in a war with them". This is the black-and-white with which the Left sees it (and some of you, for example, Parsons and Z, apparently believe even a direct attack doesn't warrant a war), and while it is simple, it doesn't lead to a sensible strategic result.


No so called liberal on this thread or anywhere I frequent has criticized the war in Afghanistan, from where the attack on the US was launched.


This is merely a difference of opinion, and one we would never agree on.
