If he comes across as elitist, then say that. Don't say poor whites won't vote for him. Say "people who don;t like elitists won't vote for him."

I don't think everything the Clintons do is wrong. I just don't like some aspects of their campaign. If you recall, I've said over and over, I'd vote for Hillary over McCain. But no, I don't like the racial aspect to their campaign. If it's accidental, it's stupid. If it's on purpose, it's ugly. I don't think I need to change my mind about thinking that.

If you want things to change, you have to believe change is possible. I think it's possible for a bi-racial man to get elected in this country. I might be wrong, but I'm not going to worry about it. I'd rather support the change I want to see. None of us really knows what is possible.

>>But what if it is true. What if Obama does have a problem with this part of the populace? What if it is something that costs him the election? If it is true, you can't just wish it away.<<

Neal -

If that is true, and if that part of the population is large enough, then perhaps Obama will lose in the general election.

That doesn't mean that I would support choosing a nominee who is 100% white in order to gain the support of those people.
