Why can't we look at the whole package?

You want us to look at a black man's whole package?

Don't say poor whites won't vote for him. Say "people who don;t like elitists won't vote for him.

Then you'll really sound like a Republican.

You scrutinize his package all you want. I just don't like the race talk- at least the talk that's aimed at dividing us. The "So and so won't vote for so and so because of their color" talk. I don't like it- no matter who is doing it.

"Why can't we look at the whole package?"

Wholistically the package looks good and sounds good. He is coming across as a visionary of change who is articulate, ethical, and able to reason with others. That qualification passes muster.

Now I have some concerns that I'd like clarified on a more practical level. Lets start with the military. Describe the vision of change for the future with respect to American Armed forces. He has said 'bring them home', which sounds simple and resolute. However, we have military installations in 130 countries. What 'exactly' are we talking about when we say bring them home? Are we down sizing, dismantling, redeploying, or something else? What does that look like in practical terms. Do we sell off our over seas installations, abandon them, form more cooperative ventures, or what? What do the enlisted personnel do when we 'bring them home'? We also have an industrialized military economy that is bigger than the economy of the majority of nations in the world. Does this change also? How so?
