I'm not asking for a handout. I'm paying for it. Hello??

I tell you what. If you let me keep the 15% of my paycheck taken out for Soc Sec (7.5% employee + 7.5% employer) and let me put it in the bank instead of sending it to Washington, then you have got a deal - I will give up my benefits. But if I am forced to pay it out, then why shouldn't I be able to collect?? I would happily put it in a savings account instead, then buy some silver like Ron, hold it for a long time, and I bet I would have more than what the current system will pay me back.

Gotta love those who would suggest I pay for something and then give up the benefits. Only in liberal America.

"The war against illegal plunder has been fought since the beginning of the world. But how is... legal plunder to be identified? Quite simply. See if the law takes from some persons what belongs to them, and gives it to other persons to whom it does not belong. See if the law benefits one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen himself cannot do without committing a crime. Then abolish this law without delay ... If such a law is not abolished immediately it will spread, multiply and develop into a system."
