The party has an organization. The organization has goals and resources to accomplish those goals. There is a group that decides the goals and how to accomplish them. The goal in 2000 and 2004 was to elect George Bush. McCain was an obstacle to those goals. I propose that the party deciders over came that obstacle by making promises to McCain to grease the skids for his candidacy in 2007 in exchange for his cooperation. The party has many means to accomplish its goals. I know this even though, not being an insider, I can't write an essay describing all of them.

Is what I am suggesting so far out?
