Some years ago I became interested in candlesticks. I studied the book by Steve Nison, as well as his "Beyond Candlesticks". amazon.com I learned that a) sticks "work", and b) their predictive value is rather soft, more like a "background". The pattern they show at that link would be called "Gravestone Doji". As the name implies, it is a rather nasty pattern, suggesting a bearish reversal. Like all of them, it needs confirmation - today's lows need to be taken out.
