what a crowd for edwards and obama last night. I doubt mcCain ever got that many at any of his presentations.

Can mcCain beat Obama.. are the numbers of voters that would cross over to vote for mccain even close enough to make this a race? I guess it will fall on independents to vote mccain in large numbers.

There have been numerous black voices pointing out that Rev. Wright is an aberration, as is the black liberation theology he preaches. He caused several mass exoduses from Trinity after he became pastor in 1972. Rev. Wright has been a very well known, radical figure in the black church since the 1970s. It makes no sense for Obama to be claiming that he's "shocked, shocked" by Wright's words. He either knew what Wright was about from the start, or else he's a moron, and Obama is no moron.

Some Republican 527 will do a mashup of Obama reading from Dreams From My Father about listening to Wright at Trinity United with excerpts from Wright's sermons, with Michelle saying that America is mean and she was never proud of it until now. I hope they buy lots of airtime.
