I think (perhaps) Bush did not appreciate the degree to which he would unite the democrats with his comments. He IS a uniter. I hope he does some more of it. I'd like to see more solidarity in the dem camp- maybe even Patricia will come back to us if Bush keeps up the pep talks!

I'll be damned. That actually makes sense. Usually the White House press office has to come up with several different stories before it gets to one that sounds reasonable.

Bush is still wrong about the equivalence between talking and appeasement, but one can see, at least, why he would bring the subject up in Israel at this time. Still, I wonder if the Israelis understood who he was talking about?
