What resonated with me was when he said he wanted humble foreign policy. 9/11 changed many things - including Bush himself. I won't try to defend the way the war has been conducted, and I'm sure a lot of my criticism would be polar opposite to what most would envision. But at this point, I am absolutely certain it (the war) was the right thing to have done. I haven't always been. It is time for the American people to start to understand that Islam is the enemy and we need to be fighting it at every turn if we value our own freedom. Those who believe there are moderate Muslims who put America first and believe in its foundational precepts (religious freedom being one) need to be looking around to see if they can find these people, because there is no evidence to suggest that such Muslims exist so far as I can see.
