I look at it like trying on a shoe from different mfgs. They're different. Each individual Issue or Index will have a Different ROC or Rate of Change .. So Sometimes on High Volume Hi Volatility MoMo Stocks in Trend .. the EMA works best as it keeps up with Price Movement better at a Hi ROC or Volatility. For the Slow and Steady Plugger .. the MA works best as the ROC is less Volatile.

Or .. It's based on the ROC and Standard Deviation Averaged over a selected time frame. All the Moving averages do anyway is add a Smoothing Factor on Price Movements at the time frame selected.

But I've become totally enamored with the Bakers Dozen EMA and the Gross MA. or 13 and 144. As if you couldn't tell. :)

Bottom Line .. Plug in the series of the Fib MA's and EMA's .. and see which shoe fits the best.

After the March Bottom was said to be in place .. the Volatility was Extreme .. so I used Both EMA and MA to see. As the SPX approached the EMA it Stopped. Moved thru to the corresponding MA .. tested went thru .. to the Next one on a series of successions.

If it was a 3 or 5 and not a C of a major B .. It would have Ripped thu all the EMAs and MAs like a Hot Knife in Butter and not looked back. If it's a 3 or 5 .. it's Cloaked to my eyes. :)

This ROC and Angle fits with my idea of a 3 or 5. This is like the days of the Inut Bubble .. just buy the dip at the 13ema.
