I don't think any president can swiftly change the direction of the dollar which is having a huge impact in the US on oil and commodity prices. Certainly this board must be aware of the crushing debt Bush policies have made, more than any other president ever. This is what is causing the dollar decline. It wasn't just the Iraq war but a combo of government deficit spending that is crushing the US economically.
