No, MM, you weren't "having at" the candidates. You were having at the Obamaphiliacs- by your own admission. You were trolling, which is different from saying, "Rush claims that Obama won't let us talk about his lapel pin, do you believe this is a valid point, and does it matter?"

Having at the candidates is perfectly legitimate. Why else are we here? I am relying on this thread to help me think through the platforms when they eventually emerge, and value your and Bob's contributions toward that.
But personally, I don't care for personal havingatits, and you won't find me calling Bush names or talking about his cocaine addiction (which I don't believe, incidentally) or whether Obama's wife was proud for the first time, or never proud and thus not really a patriot. I believe having at their policies, their speeches, their inconsistencies, their qualifications is what Dale wants.

Havingatits-- having-at-it
Not to be confused with having a tit

No
you were "having at" the posters here- by calling them names, and labeling them all. You must realize that.

If someone went to RW thread and call them all Bushophiles and told them all they were thinned skinned for saying anything about attacks on Bush, considering how violently they attacked Clinton- you think the moderators would think that person was just "having at" the candidates? The moderator would rightly accuse such a person of trolling.

Since you mentioned the moderator, I will chime in. Bash Obama all you like but saying that anyone who supports him here has no thoughts or analysis is simply a dismissive ploy that stops real debate on policy issues.

I can call you an easily conned dipstick for still supporting Bush but that would just be gratuitous personal abuse, which I don't want to see here. I only make that remark to give you an idea how your remarks are coming across.

Bashing Obama for his inexperience is on a par with bashing Bush for being a lazy C student with few real accomplishments to his name before 2000. Fair enough, that's your opinion. But don't tee off on those who support him because a candidate doesn't meet your criteria.

If we go down that road we get six months of pissing matches here. Let's not do that.
