Well if you drive an ignorantly inefficient vehicle that makes MY gas prices higher then you deserve a penalty.

This thought process is convoluted. Is there no aspect of a free market you can tolerate, or does it all have to be regulated and metered by the government?

If I eat too many hamburgers it makes the price of ground beef go up. Am I going to be taxed for that? If I choose to air condition my home to 68 degrees (which we do around here), and I going to be taxed for that? Is just paying for the electricity enough, or must I be punished because my standard of living is different from yours?

One really has to wonder what kinds of cars the Obamas own, though.
