It will be interesting to see is Obama, in the classic to-the-center move of general election politicking, uses some populism. His background suggests he would be comfortable with it; but, if the focus is economic populism with concerns about NAFTA, I don't expect him to do much. I think, but don't know, he's more of the Robert Reich persuasion, than the anti-NAFTA persuasion. We have to, over the long term, retool the workforce rather than restrict trade.

Having said that, however, I do think he's honestly a fair trade guy. I don't consider that anti-NAFTA. Just a necessary restructuring for a variety of reasons.
