On Apple business

The Apple business was very interesting. I'd love to know what the incentives were that Intel gave Apple. When Apple was making the switch they could have gone to a 64-bit processor right away with AMD, but they chose to use a 32-bit stopgap from Intel. I'm sure the internal developers were tearing their hair out. If you're going to make the switch to x86 and x64, why not make both at once?

That being said, I'm not sure that any level of Intel support in this particular instance would have been unlawful. I don't think it has any relevance to the lawsuit, as it was a totally new market for x86.
