When you combine Obama's cultural values from his mother with his educational values, and then add twenty years of indoctrination by his wife, Pastor and friends in Chicago, you get a committed communist on almost all policy matters. Who knows he has to hide his real feelings. But when I write this about him, I come across as a nut. "Communist" means nothing to the general public any more but a sign of name calling. Actually, I don't quite agree, Bill. Communism, such as it is, is a well thought-through doctrine that competes with Capitalism. Communists have thought about economic theory, a lot. I don't get the sense that Obama has. To my ears, Obama has inherited a kind of watered-down Marxism that knows capitalism is bad but doesn't quite dare to set out to replace it, so just wants to harness it and regulate it and tax it into acceptable behavior, in the mode of the European Socialist parties. As long as they refrain from actually killing the goose that lays the golden eggs, they can get away with quite a lot. And they don't have to understand much about economic theory. Parasites never do.
