Savage is in a category of his own when it comes to hate speech. I have no idea what you find entertaining about him. "Prone to hyperbole" made me laugh. There are some decent RW talk showhosts. I used to enjoy Tony Snow, and Mark Davis in Dallas. But I would dislike Savage regardless of his beliefs. Nothing good comes from that kind of venom. It is polarizing and vicious.

If you want to call finding the conservative radio talk show hosts dispicable and say it represents my hating them well that is your right. However, I do not see myself hating anyone. I resent terribly that I have no alternative as the radio talk waves both in Florida and here in NC where I am preclude anyone else. I have only the right wing hosts...including Laura Ingram in the gym... where I have a radio that only gets one station.

Oh I don't want to CONTROL speech. I know that our first amendment permits it. However I like a balance in anything.

My beef or HATE as you label it is non existent as hate.... That is your term. I resent having to listen only to one side. I cannot even find anyone on radio who represents my views at all.

I resent distortions or taking a subject out of context to make it saleable to the public. Rhetoric, hyperbole's whatever you want to call it. It's a rally to arms..... with the
venom that is dispensed. I particularly dislike that part that takes a group of any kind, lumps them and bashes them. Also true of a person...

As long as something is true.. Whether I agree with it or not I will accept it. Hate is a strong word. I gave it up when I was in my sixties... as non productive and too energy depleting.

>>But the core principles he espouses are valued by many, Borders, language and culture.<<

Quehebo -

We have a problem with definitions here. Borders, language, and culture are not principles.

Are the principles involved something like

1 Foreigners should stop entering our country illegally

2 All immigrants should speak english

3 immigrants should assimilate into our culture and behave as we do

Have I got that approximately right?
