Try an Ipod. You have been focused on talk radio and its one sided view for some time. Perhaps you are not aware that there are other options. Get XM radio, you can listen to whatever you want. Yes but people who are sensitive to the lefts desire to limit conservative radio are quite fearful of the term hate speech. Also you sound like one who wants to control through another left method, this equal air time BS. If you are so concerned with evil stuff coming over the air waves, why have I not heard anything from you about the evil entertainment industry pumping this hip hop trash. Geez talk about violence and degradation of women.

We as individuals can try to control speech all we want- as long as we don't use the state to do it. We can shout down Klansmen. We can turn our back on them. We can individually urge other people not to listen to them. In fact, if we don't do that, are we not complicit with the Klansmen, at least in our passivity? As citizens we have a duty to try to individually and personally try to control hate speech- that's what civilization is all about, imo. You don't just ignore a man shouting in the street that all Jews should be killed in ovens (for example). Ignoring that sort of thing can be dangerous.
