Both Niederhoffer and Livermore , in spite of what they teach/taught, were or are gamblers--an addiction to taking the all or nothing play.
One of Niederhoffer's bankruptcy was a day he put everthing and more on putting an index and the next day was a ballistic rocket shot up day.
He lost his money and all his clients money in one day.

At the time he said he would spend the rest of his life seeking forgiveness and making good on what his clients lost.hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm??? Wonder what happened, never check up on what happened after.
What he did was nothing but what the most addicted to the rush of danger be, when dealing with money, too bad for his clients:( Max
p.s. i lost 100k in one day in a put play, i forever learned my lesson.(Greenspan came out with a "surprise" between meetings 50basis rate cut)
