What in your estimation is the “added cost” ???

Adding DO to a device is still going to be a non-trivial decision for a manufacturer. I am sure that Qualcomm adds a price premium to multimode devices and you will still have to add in a 2nd power amp as well. I doubt that the additional BOM is less than $10.

….In devices / markets where the processing power of QCOM’s Snapdragon is good (powerful) enough, the Snapdragon chip also includes the baseband whereas the Intel solution requires a separate baseband solution. Would not this give the Snapdragon a cost advantage?

Here is my comment in a previous post to you....

OTOH, I think cost, size, and power consumption will all be decided advantages for Snapdragon.

As you can see, I am very bullish on Snapdragon. I think Q has a very good solution, though the fact that we still havent seen any prototype devices is starting to make me nervous. My only comment was that Q is going to have to compete for design slots based on price/performance....the fact that Q offers DO just is fairly far down on my list of factors that will impact Snapdragon's success.
