i'm not suggesting the legal advertising should be prohibited i'm just saying it has had a pernicious effect by stimulating bogus lawsuits that cost consumers billions with the benefit going directly to the trial lawyers nobody drags a litigant kicking and screaming into a bogus lawsuit, however, the advertising of false 'victimhood' stimulates the demand for such suits, and i contend that such is detrimental economically overall the solution is tort reform, not prohibitions on advertising... iow... loser pays contingent fees coupled with legal 'advertising' for clients without penalty for frivolous lawsuits is a recipe for abuse
