I don't know about MI, but the FL legislature didn't really care what the DNC said. They are controlled by Republicans who like to stick it to Democrats.

That seems the big screwup in the whole thing, the states trying to play chicken with the DNC.

Absolutely. The primary calendar was in so much flux that everyone thought they could game the system and get a new seat down in the front row. Instead they are bringing up the rear with a cloud over their delegations.

Hopefully a week from now this whole circus is over and we get on to the serious business of the real 2008 presidential campaign.
