Ancient Greece fell to the Roman empire......that the civilization whose decline I was discussing and not the Roman Empire.

Yes, but Greek culture didn't disappear - it remained the dominant culture in the eastern Med. for many centuries. Just making that point. Romans regarded Greek culture highly and considered Greeks their cultural forebears. The historian Virgil claimed the Romans were descended from the defeated Trojan army, effectively writing themselves into classical Greek history.

Do you understand the point you are trying to make is a minor one esp. in comparison to what we were discussing?

Also the claim that parts of China and India became parts of the Islamic empire at its peak was made to engross the accomplishments of Chinese and Indian civilization into Islamic civilization. Which is very misleading.

I showed you a map of the Islamic Empire that included parts of India and China. Why do you have such trouble accepting the truth.

Parts of India and China (at least Sinkiang as opposed to the parts of China that are ethnic Chinese) were conquered by Muslims. But your point that the cultural achievements of pre-Islamic China and India became Islamic thereby is the bogus point I was pointing out.

Which achievements are in dispute in your mind?

They don't have to. You're the only one who claimed erroneously that Chinese and Indian achievements were Islamic ones.

I did. Show me.

What else could your point have been in posting that China and India became part of the Islamic empire? But if you want to declaim that now, fine. You agree that Chinese and pre-Islamic Indian cultural achievements weren't a product of Islamic civilization. Good.

Huh? All I ever said is at its height parts of China and India were in the control of the Islamic Empire.

Dude, I was not talking about the lingua franca......I was talking about the official language of the Roman Empire.

If you wish to say so. The point is unimportant.

Finally, we agree.
