Tim, you are again failing to follow the argument. You stated this:

They help humanity by seeking the profit.

which you then morphed that into this:

You actually believe a world without drug production and development, or without the profit motive, would really be a better place, or even just as good?

You manage to twist and turn things until they are unrecognizable straw men and then knock them down as if that meant anything. Please pay attention.

It is laughable to suppose drug companies' quarterly-increase-in-profit-motive creates a boon for humanity. As I have pointed out to you several times, this means that much-needed cures such as antibiotics do not get developed while an improved Viagra does. Drugs that treat chronic, incurable problems and that can be endlessly tweaked for endless patents is what THE PROFIT MOTIVE REQUIRES.

I would expect nothing less of management driven by stockholder and market expectations. Do you understand what the corporate profit motive is?

I have also told you repeatedly that human beings are not driven simply by lust for money. That is not an idealistic statement but one that is simply obvious when you view the real world.

It is good to make a profit by providing a good product to the world. It is bad to make a profit by providing a lousy product to the world. This is not news.
