as an analyst he should be able to figure out some conclusions from statement given - is he dumb or ignorant. There is no question mark, so you already know the answer.

He does not seem to have a fucking clue - as an analyst he should be able to figure out some conclusions from statement given - is he dumb or ignorant. Etch, you seem to grossly underestimate the skills of some of these analysts. Some analysts are pretty smart at poking the management and looking for subtle hints about the state of the business or what's in the pipeline. Always remember, the analyst has had some time to formulate his/her question but management has to answer it in real time once a question is posed. Slightest pause or usage of an incorrect word could be give enough information to an analyst to form an opinion about the company. And of course, analysts have their own agenda. You and I are not the ones paying their salaries.
