While it's technically in a law, it's not really a law as ordinary people understand law.

My premise was that everyone breaks a certain subset of laws while finding ways to justify doing so.

Or, in your case, find justifications for others.

The fact that the ACLU has never challenged this silly Flag Code tells me no one has ever been prosecuted for breaking it, anywhere. Otherwise it would have been tossed out in federal court in about 30 seconds.

Talk about the stupid, shallow posturing of our well-despised Congress, this is right up there.
