<<<Or should voters ignore the policies of the candidates as posted on their websites?>>>

Obama supporters have been very open when discussing with foreign leaders to remind them that campaign speeches are one thing and actually governing is something else.

It will come as a great surprise if an Obama Presidency is going to increase the military budget.

If that happens, then all it means is that all his speeches about change means nothing. But, that wouldn't surprise me.

Alastair - Barrack saying he wants to expand the military is as believable as the moon is blue cheese. It is right in there with on to Afghanistan. If he really believes that he is as nuts as McCain. We are in huge debt with an entitlements time bomb on the horizon - with the promise of new entitlements.

Until someone somewhere faces up to the financial realities we face - we are in very serious dodo. It will take a market event to force the reality lesson we are avoiding.

The whole financial scenario is crazy.
