Everyone was psyched for an October surprise in 2004 but it never came, just Bush squeaking by in Ohio on a fear platform. Bloggers and some of the other SI threads will believe just about anything.

There is a rumor circulating now- I saw it mentioned on PfP- that there is a tape of Michelle giving a Get Whitey sermon at Trinity. Also that the Rep are holding it for an Oct surprise. The "professionals" at PfP will believe pretty much anything that is convenient for them to believe. And change their minds when that becomes convenient. Without ever admitting that their prior certainty is being contradicted. Most of them most of the time anyway.

Why would Michelle Obama give a sermon there or anywhere? She's not a minister. The folks on PfP would love it if such a tape existed. They must be getting pretty desperate, as it looks more and more likely that Obama will crush McCain in November. - Allen
