If you are saying that Krauthammer didn't say that they were overthrown, then it was only a conditional hypothetical, That was my take. Could be mistaken. If we do nothing over the next 10-20 years, we are more likely than not setting up the world for extremely difficult times, possibly catastrophic times in terms of life as we know it. That's what makes the agnostics and the non-skeptic heretics (including me) itch. It's the catastrophe/doing nothing frame. None of them is suggesting doing nothing.
