Energy independence will be an absolute necessity if we want any reasonable degree of control over our future.

But Priority 1 is draining all mid-east oil fields as quickly as possible and letting the whole of it sink back into the middle ages. Think how irrelevant and powerless the mid-east would be without oil cash.

I don't know if we could drain them dry but it seems like a logical strategy to consume all their oil first. And when it's gone a lot of other problems will go with it.

Then we get serious about energy independence, which is possible in by opinion.

Might be a good reason for us to become energy independent and screw SA.

I read this kind of comment from right, left, and center. "Energy Independent?" Never going to happen. We can't run this country on sunbeams and windmills.

Everything in the world is connected to everything else. And becomes more and more so every passing day.
