Ed, It occurs to me that what our country "should" or "shouldn't" do is usually a matter of opinion, rather than a matter of objective fact. And that one's opinion is frequently colored, not only by what information has been absorbed by the mind over the course of time, but also by one's particular ideology. IMO this applies whether one is discussing foreign policy, CAFE standards, energy policy, social policy, economic policy, or anything else. Would you agree with that idea?
