I know it must have been hard at the time Oh that would be putting it mildly. I spent more time at her school then I did when I went to school myself dealing with her. It was a nightmare. She and her now husband went to my house during the day knowing I wouldn't be there to tell my wife that she was pregnant. They were both a bit afraid of me and thought perhaps I would beat Mike up or something. Anyhow her mother said she would not be telling me and that was for Jenny to do so Jenny called me at work and gave me the news. My reaction angered her greatly. I said Jenny you just can't stop finding ways to F up your life can you. I said there is now a new game in town, it's no longer just about you. Are you going to be terminal F up or are you going to step up to the plate and be a responsible adult and mother so your child has some kind of chance in life. I said your at a Y in the road are you smart enough to take the correct turn. I'm happy to report it was almost an over night transition in her and she is a wonderful mother and more importantly a joy to be around which she decidedly was not 5 years ago. It is such a transformation that if you had told me 5 years ago this is where we would be I would have laughed at you and grabbed another drink to kill the pain.
