Bioinformatics databases: ebi.ac.uk <The EBI has a developed and maintained a number of genome related databases. Ensembl Ensembl is a joint project between EMBL - EBI and the Sanger Institute to develop a software system which produces and maintains automatic annotation on selected eukaryotic genomes. Genome Reviews The Genome Reviews database provides an up-to-date, standardised and comprehensively annotated view of the genomic sequence of organisms with completely deciphered genomes. Currently, Genome Reviews contains the genomes of archaea, bacteria and selected eukaryota. Genomes Server An overview of completed genomes at the EBI. Integr8 The Integr8 web portal provides easy access to integrated information about deciphered genomes and their corresponding proteomes. IPI The International Protein Index (IPI) is a non-redundant human proteome set. Karyns Genomes A collection and brief description of some of the available sequenced genomes, why they are important for sequencing, links to the sequences, publication data and further reading. > Mqurice
