Reminds me of an obnoxious party guest apologizing as he walks out the door at 2AM, after bugging everybody all night.

Imagine if Bush had focused his efforts on building that "series of structures" (whatever that means, sounds like diplomatic doublespeak to me) the last several years instead of only while he's putting on his coat to go home.

Honey and vinegar.

>>"Bush told The Times he wanted to "leave behind a series of structures that makes it easier for the next president" to tackle issues such as Iran's nuclear program and establishing a Palestinian state."<<

Karen -

Pardon me if hearing that he wants to do something doesn't fill me with confidence that it will get done.

You could at least try to find a silver lining

I'll give him credit for saying what he did.
But strikes me Mccain is not on the same page - today he said something to the effect bringing the troops home is not too important.

Obama's great line "Bush is doing too little too late, McCain wants to do even less much later" rings even truer
