Karen, I'm a firm believer that we can't get things right going forward without firmly acknowledging and understanding what went wrong before.

GWB gets credit for not being personally irresponsible like Clinton was. That was a good lesson learned and implemented.

But now we have the festering Iraq legacy and the huge question about what to do with Iran. If we choose to say move on and play through without looking back, the odds of screwing it up the same way are high.

GWB is currently jumping back and forth between hints of war and hints of diplomatic solutions. My whole point was that his credibility on multilateral diplomatic solutions in the ME is just about nil, whatever he chooses to mumble at a press availability now.

There are lots of gaping political holes in Bush's strategy and tenure in the White House. I'd like to see them fixed, so I will keep pointing them out. If some folks want to call that excessive personal hostility, that's not my concern. I have made my motives clear in this post.
