Ten, what happened to the conservative leader in S. Korea? When he was elected, he had a 70% approval rating, but now he has a 20% approval rating! Does he really suck THAT MUCH? More than Bush?

You cant stop folks from breathing but it certainly works to all our advantages to keep the carbon footprint as small as possible/feasible and thus keep global warming as manageable as possible. For arguments sake, if three degrees means NYC will be underwater in 50 years but two degrees causes minimal problems, before we evacuate NYC it might pay to try to reduce carbon emissions.

re:"Higher levels of CO2 just shifts the equilibrium. If that means the globe will end up a few degrees warmer than it would have been without us, we'll just have to adapt."

The difference between the Ice Age and now is about 6 degrees....

How so?
