But gas wasn't approaching $5 a gallon then.

McCain needs to seize the day, stop pandering to people who won't vote for him anyway, and stop looking for love in all the wrong places.

but it's a moot point for the present.

I have to disagree. McCain needs to hear from his future constituents about his attitude toward big oil and his indifference about drilling in the ANWR site which is the size of a business card laying on the floor of a basketball court.

It's nice for him to talk about alternative energy etc., but that does nothing to lower the price of gas.

Further, he has not been very specific nor near bold enough in addressing the topic.

He is playing us for chumps.
