I made a single, simple point, which was that what McCain is advocating is common. I don't know that anyone in these conversations about privatizing social security has ever addressed the issue as to whether it was common or not. The issue has been whether it was wise or not. The link you gave, dropped into conversations about the wisdom of privatizing, makes it appear as if you were doing more than simply noting that it happens in other countries. It would help, thus, when you offer those links, to give some explanation as to why you put them forward.
