That was your second warning.....

I don't think that the debate is tenable anymore. It's too divisive as each person thinks he or she is right. And the only way of solving the problem is having time decide for us. I do go along with SAM who says that is better to be safe than sorry. The odds are in favor of the POSSIBILTY that GW might exist.

Who is going to take the responsibility of starting a GW thread. Just let me know. I enjoy reading the posts although I have little to contribute. I personally recycle, drive a Prius,
supply my own water and waste disposal. Plant greens like mad and would have solar paneling except that I am in the woods.

Actually, Dale, I was responding to the cheap shots at the academy. GW was simply one of the occasions.

Perhaps I was misunderstood. I wasn't trying to invite yet another debate on GW. But rather on the academy. It certainly has its sins but the present framing from the RW is not even close to those sins.

And I just get tired of the cheap shots.

GW has proved to be one of the most contentious on the thread, with the most gratuitous insults from all sides.

I am agnostic as concerns GW, but it is interesting and odd to see it become such a contentious and emotional issue.

As with ANWR, extremists on both sides (not on this thread) seem more intent on using data to batter one another with than to find solutions.

Wouldn't bother me at all to see the issue go away from this thread, as I have been skipping those posts for quite some time anyway.

I would rather see the whole sideshow moved elsewhere.

I'm sorry you feel this way as I find the subject important and very interesting - both from a political standpoint and an economic one. If the GW issue is real it will trump every single other topic discussed here. .......Just before reading your post I went back and printed out the 9 page article from Vanity Fair that spiral3 posted - that's a real value of your thread.

I believe my position on GW is the "view from the center". Why? Because my position is to go after the easy aspect of a solution that will benefit us in other ways. Heath and pollution and good jobs for instance. Maybe it deserves a separate thread, but it sure is coming at us in so many ways. I hope you continue to allow the debate.......
