I do agree with Steve that GW, if it's not, at least has the potential to be the most important point being discussed here. And hence the passion from those who believe in it. But as someone pointed out, the complexities of the underlying science is way over the heads of most of us here I can't help observing that the posters here are debating GW from a purely ideological (I hope) viewpoint and often can't avoid letting their passions get out of control and cloud the discussion. It begs the question how reliable are the interpretations/arguments of politicians and academics who often have vested interests in the results of the research and the debate and the necessary policy. That point alone, imo is worthy of serious discussion so I sincerely hope you let the discussions continue, albeit on a very short leash.
