The vast majority meant people... but yes many industry people don't understand the social and economic implications. The pooh-poohed peak oil for years... until recently when it became obvious.

And folks like you who say they don't care about high oil prices have their head buried deeply in their ....


Actually, inoys is excited about the high price of gas......its guaranteed to inflict maximum pain on THOSE people who were not smart enough to prepare for a rainy day. He loves when THOSE people get their just desserts.

I didn't say "I don't care". What I've tried to convey is that high oil prices, more than any other factor, will eliminate the demand for it because it will force the development of alternatively fueled vehicles.

IN the meantime, we'll get by.

I suspect they do. But, like with tobacco executives, owning up to reality means they threaten their bonuses.

So they tell the inodes what they want to hear.
