The option trade looked pretty good, I just went and bought the shares. Looks like a good long term value to me. December makes sense for options, because we could hear a lot about lifting the ethanol tariff in the campaign. Especially with the floods and presumably decreased US production. It wouldn't surprise me to see both candidate support at least a temporary elimination of the tariff. Longer term they've got domestic consumption, China, increased consumption of sugar in developing countries....and unlike corn ethanol it does make economic sense.
