Ted, this is outrageous. Making home-schooling illegal would be one of the biggest intrusions of government into the rights of parents. In a society that values freedom and individuality, parents ought to be trusted to know how best to raise and educate their children. Sure, you take out the abusive ones with a vengeance, but outlawing home-schooling pretty much means forcing every child to conform to whatever educational curriculum the state deems necessary "for the good of society." It's also indicative of liberalism being all about conformity ... Tenchusatsu

Should Home-Schooling Be Illegal? Why would you be opposed to home-schooling? Hell, the teachers at home are generally better than the teachers in the schools, anyway. Home-schooled kids almost invariably learn more than the kids in public schools. Not sure what you're complaining about.
