And if said refinery runs short of its product do you think they simply will not deliver? Of course not, they will contact another refinery buddy and buy some from him....doesn't matter what brand. Haven't you ever seen gasoline deliveries being made to stations that aren't the same brand as the delivery truck? And do you suppose that all the independent stations are loyal to one brand and vice versa???

I'm sure you've seen the chain e-mails suggesting a boycott of certain oil companies stations.... If that were to happen some other stations would be swamped with new customers requiring that station to buy gas from someone else...and one source would be the station being boycotted..
