hello pezz, today's report:

(a) sold a mess of skf @ 140/+ on auto-pilot sell order;

(b) sold some july strike 140 covered calls on remaining and un-call-covere skf, at i am not sure what price (guessing 10+ on auto-pilot mkt order phoned in during my day) but sure to be acceptable in all cases;

the above skf trades are a part of this series Message 24663269

now all my skf are either sold or obligated until july option expiration time. the journey has been very good and may we always be able to count on such generous and fortunate blessings, amen.

(c) am offered 520 acres of land with mineral, water, and gushing oil rights adjacent to buddy's 100k acres in utah.

drilling starts on buddy's land in sept based on existing option agreement with an arm of an oil major signed some years ago, to tap light green crude. will go 50/50 with buddy to feel participative, and cared for, as i have no intention of visiting utah on any frequency other than perhaps a summer camp out at some juncture.

the pricing for the entire 520 acres of oil-infused land is less than the price of space in just about any hkg home for a grand piano, excluding of course the cost of the grand piano, and as far as i can make out, about 1/6 of the multi-year option premium for drilling contracted for several years (4?) back before crude became rude.

all in all presumably an ok buy-and-hold until kingdom-comes deal, relatively speaking. i will treat the investment as either a real estate play and/or a private equity gambit on my allocaion table, or as just artwork valued at nil ;0)

lesson: good friends are good

point-of-destination: now let us see whether the wastrel seller is in fact desperatye enough for paper money to go through with betraying his kins' legacy.

comment: usa congress may up margins all it can to 100% and try to cap speculation in energy, but i am guessing that energy will become still more dear, atleast in paper money terms, because there are too much 100% margin money around

(d) to-do's: on last day in guizhou, but it appears hkg is under attack by typhoon (signal 8, everything shut down and tight), so may not be able to leave guizhou tonight unless we fly north to any city that may offer more flights to hkg once the typhoon clears the area

probably will just hang out here for another day

the trip has been fruitful, and offers a good opportunity to do good, as well as prospect for opportunities to do well, and inte worst case, make some friends. i am bullish on guizhou, because i feel its people are energized, policy-supported, methodical, and the elixir of life, that being know-how, is circulating.

(e) next week will also be travel intensive, to shanghai and then guangzhou, to start stratigizing for domination of global solar energy market's feeding chain on paid basis, and

then to scheme around an existing china i-bank license, i.e. engage with the business that is wrapped around the license, broker it on some basis, to channel hot money, tap into data flow, and speculate.

(f) on general market, a crashing moment may soon be, who can know, and that means opportunities may become plentiful. we wait, until we see the red threads in the white of their frenzied eyes, and then have them lobster sashimi style.

otoh, i also feel that perhaps nothing will happen, because the empire's end is still off for a bit, who can be certain, and that means cash is trash, to be positioned here and there, by and by.

what fun, like a game of on-line unreal tournament last man standing deathmatch.

hello pezz, today's report: did a good days work at home.

(i) agent visited at home so that i could and did signed for commitment to hoard yet another abode on own a/c, this time in CBD, a few doors down from gold citadel's first acquisition that is down the road from the gold and silver exchange. the abode is on the 22/f, has claim on rooftop that is suitable for a rare city garden (every building has only one ground floor shop and one rooftop garden, i figure), ought to yield 7.5% net net when fixed up and let out to some financial refugee from some wastrel land.

no leverage used even though loans can be had at 3.5% rate, because while cash may be squeezed in the short term, it remains trash longer term, imo.

i am just replacing the japanese real estate just sold by pheonix club, anticipating the payout, and not willing to fuss over what to do with the proceeds.

in some ways hk real estate is like cash most of the time - liquid. what the heck.

(ii) the strategy remains to be 'hoardeverything', and not to be swayed by every wiggle and each twitch. does the word 'stagflation' mean anything to us?

(iii) is it not amusing that we have on our fortunate thread a prancing clown who gets ever so excited on miniscule wiggles and tiny twitches, and doing so with an unseemly lack of style, mouth breathing, on paper wagers that can only net a sad silence from observers ?

wager paper big, claim a score on any wiggle, even one that is measured by 95.775 Message 24706222 less 95.57 Message 24698259 :0) when there are simply so many wiggles, as amply demonstrated on the thread's collective bets on yahoo finance.yahoo.com - you know, 'the deal that must get done', and must get done over a so predictable weekend yet :0)

too funny, delicious, and yet so sad when one wastes time to give it all a passing flicker of wonder.

but why wonder about wastrel thoughts such as these Message 24704213 when one can focus on the grand picture, the large frame, natural trade / obvious exchange / apparent wager / sure bet

anyway, i ot :0)

(iv) looks like i was a bit early on pulling the trigger against skf Message 24702844 , for i apparently had not seen the red bleeding threads of the white of their eyes. in any case, i still got srs in the barrel ready to be blown away.

(v) a reminder, on gold, get some while still dirt cheap.

(vi) on everything else, hoard enough for several generations, i.e. an unfair share, and stop.

(vii) i think the new regime in the empire will mean very bad news for all, but especially for savers, because, as they say, 'that is where the money is', each and everytime a bank robbery is planned. besides, hoarding is fun, feels rebellious, and is socially responsible ;0)

(viii) given that the wastrel capitol hill crowd intends and probably will do something less than astute regarding the commodity arena, i agree with the figuring that says (a) sovereign funds will unload cash for goods, and (b) gold exchange will be left alone by the minions of prime evil.

(ix) capital controls will be before the sorry chapter is done with.

hello pezz, today's report:

(a) <<Oil.... the wild card IMHO is Israel. An attack and 180 it is (or more)other wise world wide demand destruction may finally pull her down to 90>>

i suppose my operating assumption is that it be time to be careful. i mean, i got a hint today when told that the double oil short etf finance.yahoo.com just triple fell to zero reset state. notice how the etf's capital committed grew as its value fell to zero.

these are not normal times, i suspect.

(b) asia is having a 2% down-day and ... let me see ... everything on my hong kong watch list is crimson, a lovely shade, except two green spots, one be chaoda, my china agri hoard, and the other, fxp, the china ultra short.

(c) received an e-mail from a good san francisco-based moolah manager, something about, and i quote "Since I am shitting a brick about some of positions, I just spent about an hour ... I can see why you are a hoarder of gold. I do not blame you at all", unquote. you see how regret preceeds redemption, leading on to salvation?

(d) the capitol hill gang is about to rob either somebodies or everybody, and my suggestion is that:

capital flight is a state of mind
physical gold is freedom
buying physical gold is escaping, metaphysically
hiding physical gold is escaping, physically
getting the stuff offshore is difficult in large quantities, but well worth the problem

(e) when i was 5, my parents and i visited hk for 6 months from the mainland, to methodically prepare for an exit, to see how we would acclimatize to life outside of then communist china. the experiment was a success, and so we returned to china to execute the exit.

upon return to china, the gates closed, and cultural revolution was formally announced. from having gotten used to summer on the island in the middle of summer palace and holding english picnics in the back lake, we eventually ended up in a one room mud hut with neither electricity nor running water, and only two or three ingredients for food for a whole year. my dad was an optimist and a faithful.

we eventually exited, on 700 dollars borrowed funds, 5 years later. the experience was costly, but has proven valuable ever since.

then there is the puzzle about the jews in old germany of the 1930s, when most saw it coming, but none believed it would get 'bad enough' or 'if bad enough, then not long'

recommendation: hoardeverything, and in accordance with sun tze, the strategist, "of the 36 strategems, walk away is top course of action".

chorus, in rap style: chaos is a gift, crisis partner, volatility friend, lonely path right way, survive, to fight another day.

hello pezz, tonight's report - quick marking of copy book:

(i) sold all of canadian oil sands at 50.93x. they were bought on 2/18/2005 at split adjusted 13/shr finance.yahoo.com . a fair return of 292%.

(ii) sold all of bunge at 106.63x. cost was 99.11 Message 23899299 last september. not brilliant at all, but better than cash.

(iii) sold all of baytex at 33.98x. cost was 18.44 Message 23899299 last september. ok deal at 84% for the wait.

(iv) exchanged 87% of the proceeds from all of above trades on GLD at 91.54ish. should work out, sooner or later, for it is a bull mkt after all.

(v) exchanged 13% of the proceeds on SLV at 174.61ish. should work out better than GLD, at some juncture.

I expect wobbles on the wagers, but we are grown-ups.

hello pezz, tonight's report:

i wanted to unload something that is not real estate, cash, energy shares or gold or any of the other fine precious metals, and invest the proceeds in the future of the empire, and could not come up with a solution.

then it occurred to me, why not just return to the trade that worked and worked well (see p.s. skf trail below), and yet again sell an empty promise on the promise-free and risk-aplenty financials, to buy the anti-financial that is ultrashort financial finance.yahoo.com

so, i shorted large wallop august skf puts strike 100 at average price of 4.10 (as much as was taken away from me just so few days ago at 140 and 130, by action of shorted calls at rich premiums and direct sales).

this feels illegal, shorting puts on financial ultra shorts, and may soon be, because it is too easy and undeservedly so very extremely well-paying, and is so in keeping with the dire times.

chugs, tj

p.s.

Message 24042769 buy @ 94.75

Message 24058216 buy @ 93.00

Message 24063065 buy @ 96.70

Message 24155325

(i) Shorted SKF April Call strike 110 at 10.40 average price
(ii) Shorted SKF April Put strike 90 at 7.90;

Message 24243652
(i) I increased my UltraShort Financial SKF holdings by 500% at 106.2 - 107 ...
(ii) I bought to close my SKF April (covered) Call 110 at 16.00, at small sacrifice that is offset by the still open short April Put 90 position.

Message 24251128
(iii) Shorted UltraShort Financial finance.yahoo.com SKF Put April strike 100 @ US$ 12.70 ...

Message 24391605 added to ultrashort financial SKF finance.yahoo.com at 120.5, to invest in the dire future

Message 24663269
Sold some finance.yahoo.com at 125.91-95, and
Shorted some SKF July Call Strike 130 at 9.50.

Message 24702844
(a) sold a mess of SKF @ 140/+ on auto-pilot sell order;
(b) sold some july strike 140 covered calls on remaining and un-call-covere SKF, at i am not sure what price (guessing 10+ on auto-pilot mkt order phoned in during my day) ...
now all my SKF are either sold or obligated until july option expiration time

Message 24750868
at some juncture will also have to short SKF or buy puts, but hopefully after my SKF already in hand is called away

Message 24771483
(ii) with regard to SKF ... some good and generous person called away my SKF at 140, granting me a massive win ... leaving me with opportunity to either buy back SKF at less than 140, or use capacity to write some puts

(iii) again regarding SKF, someone else called away the rest of my SKF at 130, boosting my capacity to do more with winnings, premium windfall, and original stake capital

(iv) yes, i think whatever is happening to the financial industry that powers the empire is finished yet.

the fraudulent system is made toxic by fake capital coursing through its veins, pumped by gordon gekko, supervised by no one in particular, and enabled by ex-mayors of inconsequential towns put on to pig pen capitol hill, in the aggregate, by uneducated but very loud electorates who take no responsibilities for own short comings and long goings.

SKF will rule again, and at some juncture, again and again, until a bail out of the fed will need to be. after that, worse still special rendering of paper currency savers will be, and then it will get really bad, towards the sorry end-game.

hello pezz, today's report:

(i) further developed this drama

Started the stake in January 2008 Message 24203532 at 84, saw it rose to a height of 110, then sag to 90 finance.yahoo.com

Now adding significantly by doubling the initial position finance.yahoo.com trade at Euro 93.25/shr,

(ii) then again at Euro 93.16/shr, and

(iii) once more at Euro 93.23/shr.

It is still a boring old company bekaert.com , conservative, family controlled, existing in an ancient and competition savaged steel cord (radial tire cord) sector - they also make the wires from which shopping carts are made from - tremendously exciting, as in yippy.

- been working at secret hide-away since 6:00am

- now waiting in downstairs next door neighbor "pizza pizza express" (best in hk, so best in asia) for one with italian sausage, black olives, garlic, and mushrooms

- placed order with broker to swing into action upon mkt open with fresh troops

- hk mkt falling out of bed today

hello pezz, today's report:

on pre-market open order today, i have committed fresh reinforcement capital to finance.yahoo.com at euro 93.29/shr, following on to yesterday's combined arms deployment Message 24797777 , which in turn followed on earlier still armed recon mission Message 24203532

now the ltbh position is at 5x the initial order of battle.

the company bloomberg.com remains as before, a boring radial tire steel cord maker, condemned to existing as a commoditized steel thingy supplier at 12 pe ratio and 3% dividend rate, ostensibly margin squeezed by rising steel cost, flattening tire sales, and facing stiff china competition, the perfectly fatal toxic equation of doom.

there is absolutely no redeeming value in the beast whatsoever and its salvation would be a miracle.

let me prey and pray.
