Thanks for all the informative posts. There is a pattern that one can see when reading enough of this stuff. The industry comes up with excuses to prevent transparency and sharing information with the public. In the 21st century, with automated programs and the internet, there is no reason to have 19th century excuses for MM's and associates. There is no reason and no excuse viable for the following: Keeping real quotes from the public Keeping real volume on bid and ask from the public Trading ahead of the public (that's not making a market, that's keeping the market for one's own pocket.) Failure to deliver when naked shorting. Isn't it amazing that the crew of Enterprise crusaders fails to comment on this scamming by the industry? Take a look at deepcapture.com and see how hedge fund managers and others associated have manipulated on these very message boards, often attacking innocent posters for merely posting opinions on stocks.
